Lies from the Medical Community

When it comes to our children, we want the best for them. Though, sometimes what is the best for them is not necessarily what the television or the medical community tells us is best for them.

The medical community largely exists on the backs of the pharmaceutical industry, the pharmaceutical industry stays in business by giving the American public just enough medication to keep them coming back for more (it’s the ol’ law of supply and demand), and television is a medium that entrances people into accepting the lies that all of their problems can be solved in that next bottle of pills.

All of those lies mean that as parents we need to educate ourselves on the truth that popular media won’t tell us. The best way for us to help you do that is to show you examples of the best opportunity to get to the underlying cause of Tourette’s syndrome rather than only focusing on medications.

A Case Study on Tourette’s Syndrome

So, today we’ll look at a case study of a nine year old boy who suffered from Tourette’s Syndrome. His health problems began a short time after his birth, which was by forceps. Then quickly worsened after he fell down the stairs at only a year of age.

By the age of two, he was diagnosed with Asthma, for which he was given an inhaler, and he had ear infections and pneumonia every year for the first several years of his life. He was then diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome and ADHD at seven years of age, insomnia and depression by the age of eight, and neck pain and headaches after that.

Perhaps it would be no surprise to find out that during his initial examination by an upper cervical chiropractor, it was discovered that he had sustain injuries to his neck. That injury was certainly the result of his forceps birth, his fall at the age of one, or possibly both.

The Results of Upper Cervical Chiropractic

Though, just two days after his first adjustment by an upper cervical chiropractor, his mother reported an improvement in his attitude and personality, a reduction in his tics by half, no headaches or neck pain, no wheezing, and he slept through the night. He reported continued improvement in these areas after his first month of care, as well as his anti-depressants were cut in half, he showed better attention in school, and his ability to associate with other children also improved.

Though, it is not known whether this stemmed from his forceps birth or his fall at the age of one, it is known that all of this resulted because of injuries he sustain to his upper neck. Think of how fragile the human body is if the misalignment of two small bones in the upper neck can cause so many health problems.

Thankfully, an upper cervical chiropractor can examine head and neck alignment for any misalignments that may be leading to brainstem dysfunction and the symptoms of Tourette’s Syndrome and other symptoms. They will then make any adjustments needed to realign the spine, so the brain can communicate with the body via the brainstem, and the body can begin to heal itself.
