Your Baby, Their Birth, and Their Injury – Pt 2

Your Baby, Their Birth, and Their Injury – Pt 2

Last week, we looked at some of the causes of spinal misalignments in children due to the birthing process. We’re sure we raised some concerns in parents about their baby’s health. There is no reason to be overly concerned, but there is always reason to be aware.

So, this week, we’ll look at some of those signs you can watch for that will help you determine if you should have your baby evaluated for an upper neck misalignment. There are common signs of an upper cervical misalignment in your baby that you can watch for, but it’s easy to ignore those signs.

Signs of a Misaligned Baby

  • Ear Infection (This is due to improper drainage in the ear because of nerve damage)
  • Colic
  • GERD
  • Constipation
  • Acid Reflux
  • Various digestive Problems

Your Baby and Upper Cervical

Even if your baby doesn’t suffer from any of these conditions, that doesn’t mean they don’t deal with pain or other symptoms. You will also want to monitor whether or not they always lie on their back or if they always have their head turned in one direction. You can also try to feel if the musculature structure in their lower back near the pelvis is symmetrical or if one side feels tighter than the other.

Now, we understand it’s easy to just not be sure or to be overly cautious. There is no such thing as being overly cautious when it comes to your baby’s health. That means taking precautions is always a good idea, and that will mean seeking out the care of an upper cervical chiropractor.

This specific form of chiropractic, which focuses on realigning the spine by realigning the top two vertebrae in the spine, does not involve any twisting, cracking, or popping of the spine. It’s so gentle yet so effect, that your baby will not only not feel any pain, but they will start their new life out feel better than the other kids in the sandbox.

If you are unsure about any of these things find a local upper cervical chiropractor in your area to check your baby as soon as possible. It can make all the difference in the world for the growth, development and the health of your son or daughter.
